Eddie Hinton’s guitar playing style can be classified as Piedmont, Country Folk, Rural or simply Georgia Blues. Whatever the case, his is a style that’s surely embedded in his DNA and is THE REAL DEAL!
Hinton has been playing guitar almost his entire life encouraged by his Mother who referred to his early attempts as “frammin’” while growing up in Pearson, GA.
Heavily influenced by Mississippi John Hurt, he also counts the late Cora Mae Bryant, daughter of the legendary Curley Weaver as an influence and mentor.
Having performed at countless Georgia festivals and venues, Eddie continues to carry on the tradition of finger picking that he seems to do so effortlessly and genuinely ensuring that Georgia Blues will remain a relevant and necessary component in American Music!
